About Our Farm

Hidden Brook Farm, located in Eastford, Connecticut, is focused on raising and breeding registered North American Cashmere goats, with an emphasis on fiber quality, sound conformation, and excellent temperament.

The farm is also home to a guard llama, a flock of multi-egg-color laying hens, and a pair of feral rescue barn cats.

Hidden Brook is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Mark and Jaclyn Severance, who established the farm on 18 acres in 2016.

Mark spent summers in his youth working on tobacco and dairy farms. Jacie, an avid knitter and spinner and longtime cashmere afficianado, grew up with horses and was vice president of her FFA chapter in high school. Together, they’re dedicated to the well-being of their herd and to creating high-quality, Connecticut-grown cashmere fiber and products.
