Hidden Brook Farm, located in Eastford, Conn., is focused on raising and breeding cashmere goats, with an emphasis on fiber quality, sound conformation and excellent temperament.
The farm is also currently home to a guard llama and a flock of multi-egg-color laying hens, including purebred blue-laying Ameraucana chickens.
Hidden Brook is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Mark and Jaclyn Severance, who established the farm on 18 acres in 2015.
Mark spent summers in his youth working on tobacco and dairy farms. Jacie, an avid knitter and spinner, grew up with horses and was vice president of her FFA chapter in high school. Together, they have exciting plans to grow, expand and diversify Hidden Brook over the next several years.
