There’s lots of goats at Hidden Brook Farm, but there’s only one Annie.

HOLR Shy Ann, most commonly called by her nickname, is the only camelid member of our fiber herd.
Annie was born in 2008 at Hidden Oaks Llama Ranch in Oregon and is by GC ‘s Inca Legend, out of HOLR London’s Abigail. Annie had a great show career and a couple of really nice cria before she found her way to our herd via Misty Meadows Farm in Ashford, Connecticut.
But she could always be a just a little bit…extra.

Annie’s primary job these days is to serve as our livestock guardian llama, protecting her goats from our very active local coyote population. But she also produces one heavy wool llama fleece per year.
Annie is notoriously cranky, spits with reckless abandon, absolutely hates being touched, abhors shearing day, has definite thoughts about her regular toenail trims and annual vaccinations, and generally loathes our very presence.

But she is a great protector, infinitely patient when baby goats jump all over her, and gives us great peace of mind during kidding seasons. And she makes a beautiful fleece.
So, we love her very much. Even when she spits in our faces.
